While the visa is valid for 10 years, your permission to stay is granted for one year at a time. Why the annual date matters

Your LTR Visa gives you permission to stay in Thailand only until the exact date stamped in your passport. Getting the date wrong can also force a last-minute rush to apply for your annual extension.

Which date to enter

Enter the "Permission to stay until" date shown in your passport stamp. This is the date your one-year stay permit expires. Do not enter your visa approval date or passport expiry date.
