What is an O Visa?
A Non-Immigrant O Visa is a category for foreigners visiting Thailand for various reasons, most commonly as a spouse or family member of a Thai citizen, for retirement, or as a volunteer. It allows for an initial stay of 90 days and can typically be extended for up to one year at a time within Thailand.

This is a completely free reminder tool run for Thai Kru. Enter your O Visa permission to stay date once. We will send you friendly email reminders 14 days before it expires. You can also add optional 90-day reporting reminders.
Why the date matters
Missing your permission to stay date results in an overstay. This leads to daily fines (500 THB per day), possible detention, a negative record in your immigration history, and potential blacklisting (being banned from re-entering Thailand). Many people also face the stress of a last-minute rush to an immigration office.
Which date to enter
Enter the "Permitted to stay until" date stamped in your passport by an immigration officer upon arrival or after your last extension. Do not enter the "Enter Before" date from the visa sticker itself.
What to take when you go
- Your passport
- Photocopies of your passport's photo page, current visa stamp, and latest entry stamp
- A completed TM.7 extension form
- One recent passport photo (4x6 cm)
- Supporting documents for your specific extension type (e.g., proof of funds for retirement; marriage certificate and spouse's documents for a marriage-based extension)
- The 1,900 THB extension fee in cash
